With social events virtually every month of the year, Millwood Country Club offers abundant opportunity to enjoy the company of fellow members and their guests. Please check the Calendar of Events for upcoming sports and social gatherings.

Major Holidays

The club’s capstone social events are traditional holiday celebrations: Memorial, Independence, and Labor Days, and winter holidays. In season, holiday events include golf and tennis tournaments, and family pool time followed by a celebration on the club’s ample veranda, featuring refreshments and picnic fare. Adults and children, alike, look forward to these events each year.

Porch Parties

The club’s crowd-pleasing Porch Parties feature refreshments and light hors d’oeuvres in months when the club is not celebrating major holidays. If you are considering a membership in Millwood Country Club, accompanying a member to a Porch Party is a wonderful way to meet and mingle with current members in a casual, yet festive atmosphere.

Bridge Night

Bridge Nights at Millwood Country Club are hugely popular for both bridge and gourmet enthusiasts – typically with 6 or more bridge foursomes. In season, friendly matches of contract bridge follow refreshments and acclaimed, locally catered dinners.   

Tennis Potluck

Another popular occasion for sporting conviviality is Tennis Potluck, offered in season, in the early evenings. As its name implies, members and guests bring their choice of beverage and a dish to share on the covered porch overlooking the tennis courts. As you wait your turn at a match, enjoy the company of friends and an appetizer.

Youth

Throughout the year, the club may also host events for its younger members. Junior tennis and golf camps, along with craft instruction, a build-a-gingerbread-house party, movie nights, and pool-side cookouts may be offered.
